It is common to have negative thoughts and emotions. But when stressful thoughts and feelings are left unchecked, they can cause other problems such as poor sleep, difficulty focusing, or physiological symptoms. Relationships and communication can also suffer if anxiety and negative feelings are not resolved. The best time to address worry, fear, or discomfort is always now. It is never too late to turn things around.
My approach is based on providing therapy since 2006, including five years in college counseling centers, treating anxiety, stressful emotions, and worry. I utilize evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness to help you both challenge irrational thoughts and train yourself to be emotionally calm and mentally focused. I provide a non-judgmental environment for you to safely explore your challenges in an effective way.
I both listen deeply and provide you with useful tools that can be practiced outside of our sessions so that you become self-reliant to manage and reduce your own stressors. The practices that I will share with you are those that I myself have practiced. They have helped me tremendously and have helped hundreds of my clients. I feel passionate about the work that I do as it has both impacted me personally, and it is deeply fulfilling and inspiring to see other people find freedom from their problems.
